A 14-year-old school girl Faustina Agunor, was last week clubbed to death with an iron-bar by her uncle when he suspected her of running "love errands" for his perceived rival at Ntafrafra village near Amasaman in January this year.
The 27-year-old suspect Quarshie Amedeku, is on the run and is currently being sought for by the Amasaman police.
Police Superintendent Kwadwo Asante, Ga West Municipal Police Commander, told The Spectator that Amedeku picked a quarrel with his elder sister, Mary Amedeku, 37, at about 8.30p.m., on January 17, this year, accusing her of supporting her daughter to indulge in immoral acts.
Supt. Asante said after the two had been separated, Amedeku retired to his room and about 9.30 p.m. came out with an iron bar and hit the deceased on the head, killing her instantly.
Supt. Asante said, an alarm was raised, while Amedeku took to his heels and had since not been found.
The police commander said, when the police were informed of the death of Faustina, the body was conveyed to the Police Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
He urged the public to assist the police to effect the arrest of Amedeku from his hideout to enable him to face trial.
