KWAKU OWUSU Adjei is his name, and he is themorning show host of Kumasi's latest radio station - BOSS 93.7 FM. The much talked about radio station, located at Adum, the heart of the Garden City, is currently test-transmitting and is expected to be officially launched at the plush Golden Tulip Hotel in Kumasi today, Friday July 25.
Popularly called “Pato”, Adjei is the toast of radio listeners in the Garden City who are always eager to listen to his scintillating voice backed by inspirational songs in the early hours of the day.
Described as the hottest morning show presenter in the Brong Ahafo Region after stints with Dormaa FM, Sky FM, Space FM and Classic FM, Pato accepted Boss FM's mouth-watering offer.
Though BOSS FM is yet to officially start operations, the station, particularly Pato seems to be gaining popularity each passing day to the surprise of gurus in the radio industry.
Be it in a taxi, restaurant, chop bar, an office, or wherever one can think of, radio listeners discuss their idol presenter Pato who they describe as the 'Boss of the Airwaves'.
When Beatwaves finally caught up with him to ascertain the secret behind his amazing rise, Pato spilled the bean, after being evasive for a while.
Born and educated at Jinijini in the Brong Ahafo region, the smooth-talking Pato, who had once undergone training at reputable media networks like BBC, RCI among others, cited hard work, dedication and prayers as the secret behind his sudden rise to stardom.
“I am a self-motivated, hardworking, entertaining and religious person who hardly forfeits communicating with God in prayers; because I believe that apart from God there is no other.”
The Wesley College - Kumasi graduate emphatically stated that with God on his side the sky would be the limit with regard to outshining his colleague morning show presenters in Kumasi.
“Besides being abreast with political and social issues, I also boast of flair and powerful voice to make the 'Good Morning BOSS' attractive, motivating and worth listening to; I bet you, my show will be the best in the Garden City”.
He hinted that his programme would not only be based on politics, but also social issues, entertainment and others.
Pato added that his show which would be characterized by sizzling music would also be full of live interviews with certain personalities including political big wigs, chiefs and celebrities.
At age 30, Pato is a bachelor and is preparing to enroll at the Ghana Law School any time soon.
