Two of the players who featured for Ashanti Kotoko in last Saturday's Confederation Cup clash with Wikki Tourists in Bauchi are scheduled to travel to London with the Black Stars for an international friendly against Mexico.
The duo of Harrison Afful and Eric Bekoe on arrival in Accra on Sunday night from Nigeria, were expected to join other invited home-based players for the friendly which holds on tomorrow in London. Harrison, who featured at the just-concluded Nations Cup, was a delight to watch against Wikki. He told Tribunesports picking a shirt in London remained his target.
"I only played against Ivory Coast in the third place match and I hope I will be given the chance to play in London," the Ghana 2008 bronze medallist said.
His teammate, Bekoe is the leading scorer in Ghanaian One Touch League with 11 goals from 15 games and the pacy forward was excited by his invitation to the senior national team.
"Being part of the team is a great opportunity and I can't wait again to play for the Black Stars for the first time and good enough in London," he said. Nigerian Tribune
