A revolutionary satellite pay-TV service, Gateway Broadcast Service (GBS) is stepping into Ghana’s TV industry to give viewers a wider spectrum of television entertainment.
On Saturday September 22, the network would officially be launched with a big party at the Independence Square in Accra, from 6:30pm.
The occasion expected to attract top performers, celebrities and other special guests, would as well witness a broadcast message from Ghana’s soccer star Michael Essien.
According to a release issued in Accra yesterday, the ceremony would be just a tip of the iceberg.
This is the company’s first step into West Africa and Ghana was chosen in view of the fact that it is the gateway to West Africa.
To be at the special occasion, listeners of radio stations as Joy FM, Adom FM, CITI FM, Happy FM, Peace FM and Oman FM would have the opportunity to win VIP tickets through various programmes.
“GBS is a dynamic new Pan-African pay-TV service, delivering choice, quality and innovation to a new breed of TV viewers. With balanced and exciting choice of premium content, GBS is redefining pay-TV in Africa by offering it at a price point accessible to the mainstream.
It is committed to supporting local contents as well as offering major international programmes,” said the statement.
Now GBS is available in African countries as Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Botswana and Mauritius.
