Black To Our Roots

One girl’s journey to the history of who she is This is the story of a group of Atlanta teenagers who raise money to travel to Ghana to learn more about their ancestors. In the process they learn about the stereotypes and misconceptions that surround Africans and African-Americans. The story also follows the story of Sylvia Dorsey, a 17-year-old girl from the housing projects who learns more about herself from the trip and rediscovers the power of who she is.
