Ghana's Under-17 female side the Black Maidens,cruised to next stage of the African qualifiers for the 2008 Fifa Under-17 world cup with a 4-0 thumping of their Zambian counterparts at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The Maidens opened the floodgates as early as the 2nd minute when Elizabeth Cudjoe registered the first goal for the home side.
Deborah Afriyie doubled the lead in the 21st minute when she tapped-in a rebound from close range.
The Zambians showed little signs of ditching the Maidens as the latter to comfortably controlled the game to end the first half 2-0.
In the second-half,Ghana controlled the possession but erratic shooting upfront denied them from getting early goals.
In the 77th minute,Elizabeth Addo grabbed Ghana's fourth goal from a nice worked out goal.Mary Essiful completed the demolishing exercise with the fourth goal in the 89th minute from a low grounder.
The 4-0 result wrapped up a 6-0 aggregate scoreline after a 0-2 win from the first leg in Lusaka.The Maidens play their DR Congo counterparts in the next stage of the qualifiers.
Africa will have three representatives at the maiden edition of the Under-17 women's world cup to be hosted in New Zealand from 28 October to 16 November,2008.
