Spain
It was the final day of the season in La Liga but there was little to play for with Real Madrid already crowned as champions.
Cameroon's Samuel Eto'o equalised for Barcelona in his side's 5-3 victory at Real Murcia.
Eto'o finished the season with 16 goals, the same tally as Mali's Freddi Kanoute.
Kanuote scored his 15th and 16th goals of the season for Sevilla in their 4-1 win over Athletic Bilbao.
Kanoute's compatriot Seydou Keita was also on target for Sevilla in that game.
Another Cameroonian striker Pierre Webo scored his fifth goal for the season for Real Mallorca as they beat Real Zaragoza 3-2.
Mallorca finished in 7th position, while Zaragoza are relegated along with Murcia and Levante.
France
Lyon were crowned champions for the seventh consecutive time on the final day of the season after winning 3-1 at Auxerre.
Lyon finished four points ahead of their closest pursuers Bordeaux who could only draw 2-2 at Lens.
The Ivory Coast's Kader Keita and Algeria's Nadir Belhadj were the only Africans that played for Lyon this season.
Keita played 30 out of the 38 games in the league scoring four times, while Belhadj played just nine games before leaving to join Lens.
At the other end of the table, another Ivorian Amara Diane scored twice to give Paris Saint Germain a 2-1 win over Sochaux - a victory that saved PSG from relegation from the top flight.
Senegal's Guiranne Ndaw grabbed the goal for Sochaux.
Algeria's Rafik Saifi scored for Lorient as they drew 1-1 with Lille. The goal took Saifi's total to 14 in in 37 league games.
Ivorian Bakary Kone also took his tally to 14 for the season as he scored the final goal for Nice as they defeated Caen 3-1.
Senegal striker Mamadou Niang finished the second top scorer in France with 18 goals after scoring in Marseille's 4-3 win over Strasbourg. Marseille finished third in the league.
Another Senegalese Babacar Gueye was on target for Metz who beat Le Mans 4-3. The triumph meant little, though, as Metz still finished bottom and are relegated.
Guinea midfielder Pascal Feindouno scored in the 81st minute - his eighth of the season - as St Etienne thrashed Monaco 4-0.
And Cameroonian Stephane Mbia completed a good season with his third goal for Rennes who edged out Nancy 3-2.
Belgium
Anderlecht won the Belgian FA Cup after beating Gent 3-2 in Sunday's final.
Togo striker Olufade Adekanmi was on the scoresheet for Gent, but it was Moroccan Mbark Boussoufa who ended up on the winning side after scoring the second for Anderlecht.
England
Nigerian striker Nwankwo Kanu got the only goal of Saturday's FA Cup final as Portsmouth beat Cardiff City 1-0 to win their first trophy since 1939.
