Some fans of Kumasi Asante Kotoko have backed the decision of the club to part ways with head Coach Ebo Mends.
Ebo Mends resigned yesterday after a short meeting with management of the Club in Kumasi.
The decision came just a day after Kotoko lost by a lone goal to rivals Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Sunday’s loss to Hearts of Oak was Kotoko’s third defeat in eight league games this season and the fans believe his exit is a good decision.
Ex-players Opoku Afriyie and Opoku Nti are expected to take temporary charge of the team until a permanent replacement is found.
Meanwhile, Kessben FC maintained their lead on the Glo Premier League table after a goalless draw game against Heart of Lions in their outstanding League fixture yesterday.
The match had to be postponed on Sunday after heavy rains flooded the Kpando Park. Kessben’s next league game will be against closest rival Chelsea of Bechem.
Kessben must win that encounter to stay top of the league and head Coach Bashiru Hayford believes getting a point in Kpando is good motivation ahead of the Chelsea game.
