A young British man of Ghanaian origin, Mr Sylvester Senyah, 33, was stabbed to death in Leyton, East London, on Monday 29 November, 2010. Sylvester’s parents, Nana Senyah of New Juaben, (Koforidua) and his wife Felicia are completely devastated by the senseless and tragic loss of a fine young man in his prime. Sylvester left behind two young children.
Sylvester was an extremely caring dad, who was on his way to pick up his son from school. He stopped at a take-away shop. He was attacked by two men in Capworth Street at around 3.20pm and died shortly after arrival at the Royal London Hospital.
"It appears that the deceased was stabbed during a fight with two other men." A police spokesman said: "At this early stage, officers retain an open mind as to any motive. The suspects are described as black men aged in their 20s or 30s and around 5''11 in height.
Officers are also keen to trace the victim's car, a black VW Golf with alloy wheels and a silver grille. A man has been charged with the murder of Mr Sylvester Senyah. Simeon Smith, 33, [14/1/77] of Walthamstow, East London. He appeared in court last Monday. Officers from the MPS Homicide & Serious Crime Command are appealing for witnesses and information.
