A trader has accused the CDH Insurance Company of deliberate delays in the processing and payment of claims put in by clients.
Madam Sally A. Addison, trader and owner of a Toyota pick-up, told the GNA that her vehicle was involved in an accident on November 3, 2009 at Anto on the main Takoradi-Cape Coast highway.
She said a Police report was issued on the accident on April 2010 but the management of the insurance company delayed in paying the insurance claim.
Mad Addison said the insurance company abandoned the vehicle and used several excuses to stall payment of the claim.
She said the company delay in paying the claim had led to the loss of sales and this was having a negative impact on he business.
Mad Addision appealed to insurance companies not to unduly delay paying claims because this would drive away prospective customers.
