Juaso (Ash), Sept.30, GNA - Three persons alleged to have murdered a farmer at Bebuso near Agogo in the Asante Akim North Municipality have been remanded into prison custody by the Juaso Circuit Court. Yaw Adasi, driver, Ankomah Joseph, student and Akwasi Boakye, farmer, face three counts of murder, conspiracy to commit murder and rape. They are to re-appear before the court on October 13, while efforts are being made by the police to arrest two other accomplices who are at large. Their pleas were not taken. Detective Inspector Adu Ofori said the accused persons on September 13 reported to the Agogo Police that they had been robbed by some unidentified men at gun point at Bebuso the previous night. Coincidentally, police had information that one Abudu Issakah had been shot dead at his cottage at Bebuso. The police took the accused persons to the alleged robbery scene and subsequently to the cottage of Issakah where he was found lying in a pool of blood. Police investigations revealed that the accused persons and two others who are at large had earlier in the day gone to buy Indian hemp from Issakah who argued with them over an old debt, resulting in his death. After killing him, they took turns to gang rape his wife.
