Contingents from all the security services in Ho on Friday marched through the principal streets of Ho to demonstrate camaraderie among them throughout the closing year.
The groups include the Ghana Armed Forces, Ghana Police Service, Ghana Immigration Service, Ghana Prisons Service, Ghana National Fire Service and Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority.
Mr Joseph Amenowode, Volta Regional Minister, lauded the collaboration among the security services.
He said “besides the health benefits of the march, it brought about a close interaction between the security services”.
He urged the personnel to forget all their petty differences and form an alliance to continue to maintain peace in the region.
Mr Amenowode said he was aware of the challenges the services were facing and pledged the support of the Regional Co-ordinating Council to enable them carry out their duties with ease.
He assured them of improved accommodation and charged them to remain focused in carrying out their duties to enable them achieve their objectives.
