Authorities of Wenchi Senior High School have rejected calls to tamper justice with mercy and allow 13 suspended students to register for their final examinations.
The students are being punished for leading a demonstration last year in which school property was destroyed.
Their parents say the decision could jeopardise their future as it means they cannot write their final examination this year. But the assistant headmaster of the school, Mr. Adu Damoah says the decision stands and the students can register for the examination next year.
He said the suspension was meant to serve as a deterrent for would be hooligans to think twice of any action they take.
