Mr Victor Okuley Nortey, Member of Parliament for Ablekuma Central has appealed to foot soldiers of New Patriotic Party (NPP) to close their ranks and rally behind the party's leadership to ensure victory in the 2008 Elections.
He pointed out that the party's victory in the elections depended on their commitment and loyalty to the party at the grassroots.
Mr Nortey made the appeal when addressing foot soldiers in the constituency during their Annual Get-Together in Accra.
The get-together, the first to be organised was to foster unity and prepare for the task ahead.
"We should put the past behind us and work in unity with the leadership to achieve our set goals and objectives, he added.
He announced that efforts were underway to assist them to improve their living standards.
Mr Nat Hesse, Ablekuma Central Constituency Chairman of Foot Soldiers, assured leadership of the party that they would work hard with dedication, love, unity and campaign massively to ensure resounding victory in Elections 2008.
He said, "Whether rain or shine, we the foot soldiers are prepared to die for the party as we did before".
