Defending Champions Egypt beat Cameroun by four goals to two in their Cup of Nations Group C duel at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
In a game that opened and closed with a penalty each, first to Egypt and then to Cameroun, it was Hosny Moteleb Abdel who converted a 14th minute penalty, before M. Zidan added another three minutes later and a personal second on the stroke of half time (45th minute).
Cameroun's goal was the result of a header from Samuel Eto'o who scored in the 51st minute.
H.A. Abdel restored Egypt to the three-goal lead when he scored in the 82nd minute.
Samuel Eto'o in the 90th minute converted from the penalty spot to end matters at 4:2.
