The Adjabeng Magistrates's Court Two has slapped a fine of GHc120 on a cleaner who stole items worth GHc40 belonging to his employers.
Derik Baba, 18 who pleaded guilty will serve six months imprisonment in default.
The court also ordered the accused to pay GHc350 to defray the cost of the door he destroyed to rob or attract 12 months imprisonment.
Prosecuting, Police Sergeant Olivia Ofori-Atta, told the court that the accused who is an employee at Accra Brewery Company, broke into a room on October 8, where he stole a 19- inch Television valued at GHc200 and a remote control costing GHc40 belonging to the company.
She said while Baba was carrying his booty away, he was spotted by the Chief Security Officer and through the assistance of some people he was
chased and arrested with the items.
