African Union Commission Chairman Jean Ping talks to co-host Vincent Makori about the impact of the global financial crisis in Africa.
AU Chairman points out that the Global Crisis did not eminate from Africa but points the blame to the bad governance of the Northern Hemisphere. Hence Africa's demand for a larger bail out of about $50 Billion which was accepted.
Vincent asked about the issues related to gorvenance problems of some member states as well as enforcing collective decisions and in response the AU Chairman further delves into problems hindering collective decision enforcement by individual members of the AU. Also he cites that the International Unions at times sabotage the AU collective decisions for example the UN gives persmission to some African head of states to speak in UN gatherings though under sanctions by the AU
He says that AU is doing well as a process and a lot of positive achievements are being made all along.
