One of the difficulties in living in Accra and Tema metropolis is the darkness that engulfs the metropolises especially along the major streets when the sun sets.
The situation endangers the lives of motorists and pedestrians alike while some have been robbed; and others who have not been so fortunate have been killed or maimed by robbers and other criminals.
But the good news is that government has made available 19.5 million euros for the installation of street lights covering 160 kilometres in the Accra and Tema metropolises.
We want urge the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Nii Armah Ashietey who oversees this geographic area to take a personal interest in the project since the citizens have been made to live with this for far too long.
It is not too much to ask from the state to ensure that citizens go about their daily lives without fear.
