SWAG To Inaugurate Kumasi Branch

The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) will on Friday, April 19, inaugurate the Kumasi branch of the Association. The Association would on the same day launch the 2008 SIC/SWAG Nyemitei match between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Ashgold scheduled for Sunday, April 20, at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi. The inauguration forms part of the Association's plans to open branches across the country, whilst the launch is to create awareness about the match within the sporting fraternity in the Ashanti Region and its environs. A statement from the secretariat of the Association said the two functions will be held at the State Insurance Company (SIC) Conference Hall in Kumasi at 9:00 am. The statement urged all registered members of the Association in Kumasi to endeavour to be part of the exercise.
