The chance has come once again for Stars in waiting to shine as the No.1 music reality competition, Stars of the Future, begins auditioning this Saturday, April 12. The first auditions which takes place in Kumasi at Miklin hotel for contestants from the Northern zone is expected to attract a large audience participation.
The format for the auditioning will be simple, the auditioning begins with participants sending their names to MTN short code 1758 and following registration instructions. The resultant ID code will be presented at the venue for which an onsite registration that will determine sequence of auditioning would be made.
Based on a first come first serve bases, participants will have the chance in a lifetime chance to sing to the three experienced judges. Those who are impressive during these auditions will go onto the semi finals stage where they will compete with those who made it through the Southern auditioning.
Stars of the Future presents young men and women between the ages of 16 and 26 years of age, who are alive with possibilities, an avenue to explore and sharpen their talent with themes such as Gospel, Highlife, hit songs of the 90’s, oldies among others. They bring life to these performances on stage to a live audience and these electrifying renditions are telecast on TV for a wider audience viewership. Music like most aspect of a people’s culture is dynamic. Ghanaian music has evolved With Charterhouse as events organisers in partnership with other sponsors, Stars of the Future musical reality show aims to create possibilities for a new crop of talented musicians whose music genres go beyond already established musical boundaries in the country. It encourages experimentation with new genres and styles of music like R&B, Afro Jazz and Afro Pop.
The hit series empowers viewers to choose who becomes the next singing superstar by voting their favourite to win the keenly contested title of Music Star of the Future and an opportunity to record their debut album with the best producer the country has to offer. It is fast becoming the must watch music reality show in Ghana and is sponsored by MTN.
