Ghana's Under-20 team, the Black Satellites, qualified to the next stage of the African Youth Championship qualifiers despite a 1-0 loss away to Angola on Sunday.
The Satellites conceded the goal in the first half but that was not enough to cancel out their 5-1 victory during the first leg of the tie in Accra.
Ghana will face Gambia,who wrapped up a 4-1 aggregate scoreline over Mauritania, in the second qualifying round.
The first leg will held in Accra druing the weekend of 26-28 September with the winner of the two-legged tie qualifying to the finals in Rwanda next year.
Ghana will be aiming to end three unsuccessful attempts to qualifying to African Youth Championship since placing fouth at the 2001 finals in Ethiopia.
