Original Black Entertainment Television (OBE-TV), a wholly Ghanaian-owned London-based Television company has appointed Oheneba Charles, a veteran journalist and public relations consultant for Guinness Ghana Breweries, as their representative in Ghana.
The memorandum of understanding on the appointment of Oheneba Charles was signed at a short ceremony in London last week.
According to Ghanaimage.com, a statement from the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Bernard Kwame Ampaw said, “OBE-TV is delighted that Oheneba Charles, a highly respected media expert has agreed to represent us in Ghana.
It has come to our notice that all manner of persons purporting to be representing OBE-TV have approached corporate bodies, institutions and individuals without our mandate.
“It is against this backdrop and more importantly our determination to streamline our operations and create visibility in Ghana that we have appointed Oheneba Charles of Clear Image Productions to manage our affairs”.
The statement further advised all corporate bodies, institutions, countries and individuals who transact business with OBE-TV to channel their activities through Oheneba Charles for authenticity and recognition.
OBE-TV is a free to view 24 hour Channel on the SKY Digital Platform.
It reaches a primary target audience from the African, Caribbean and other ethnic communities in the UK and Ireland, Europe, North America, North Africa and beyond and serves over 7.8 million satellite subscribers in the UK and Ireland alone.
Ghanaians all over Europe regard ORIGINAL BLACK ENTERTAINMENT (OBE-TV) as their main source of news, entertainment and education programmes from Ghana.
President J. A. Kufuor visited the offices of OBE-TV during his recent trip to London.
