Ghanaian international Sulley Ali Muntari capped a brilliant football season in England with an FA Cup winner's medal last Saturday after helping Portsmouth to defeat Cardiff City 1-0 at Wembley.
Portsmouth' most expensive player of all time at £7.1m, Muntari was part of the build-up that led to the 37th minute winning goal by ageless Nigerian international, Nwankwo Kanu.
And spontaneously, he joined his West African compatriot to celebrate the goal with the famous 'Kangaroo Dance', a gig choreographed by the Black Stars during the Africa Cup of Nations.
He became the second Ghanaian after Michael Essien to reach such heights at Wembley, one of football's sacred temples. Last season Muntari's close pal, Essien, won the FA Cup with Chelsea.
Muntari's sense of nationalism became evident as Portsmouth celebrated their first major title since 1927.
With the coveted FA Cup in hand as he savoured his achievement, the midfielder abandoned his Portsmouth jersey for a white t-shirt emblazoned with the inscription 'I love Ghana', and a Ghana flag flung over his neck in the full view of fans at Wembley and a worldwide TV audience.
