Actor Jackie Chan is planning to make a film about the Chinese earthquake to raise money for survivors.
The Hong Kong action hero said he was meeting directors and scriptwriters to get the project off the ground.
"I want to make the movie about the earthquake because there's so many touching stories," he said.
"Twenty channels report a different story and every story I see just makes me cry." At least 60,000 people were killed in the disaster on 12 May.
Chan said he had already donated $1.4m (£700,000) to help the victims in Sichuan province.
He has visited a hospital in the area, but the army would not let him go to the scene of the devastation, he revealed.
Charity concerts
The movie would "raise money for charity", he said.
"I believe there are so many touching stories so we're going to have a big meeting to see what happens," he said, referring to his discussions with film-makers.
"I want through the movie to show the whole world, I really want to salute the whole army of China, really."
He added that around 100 Asian artists would take part in charity events in Hong Kong and Chengdu, Sichuan's capital, next month.
Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao has said the death toll from the disaster had passed 60,000 and could rise to 80,000.
