Come Sunday April 27, the La Pleasure Beach in Accra will witness the biggest beach jam ever.
The event dubbed, “The Celebrations Jam”, is being organized to climax this year’s MTN Ghana Music Awards festival and will feature US hiphop music icon, Ja Rule as the guest artiste.
Ja Rule, who is one of America’s finest musicians, has promised to set the stage on fire with a reverberating performance.
Eight-time award winner Ja Rule has been nominated 18 times for top award brands including Source, Hip Hop Awards, MTV Video Awards, Grammy Awards and the American Music Awards.
The jam, which is fast becoming the outdoor party of the year, according to the organizers, Charter House, promises to be more entertaining that ever before.
The line up of international African artistes, coupled with some of the very best musicians that Ghana can boast of will ensure that this year’s Celebrations Jam will be remember in the history of beach jams.
Artistes billed to perform alongside Ja Rule include Ghana’s hottest rap sensation Kwaw ‘Abodam’ Kesse, Ofori Amponsah, Tinny, and Becca.
The rest are P-Square of Nigeria, Nameless from Kenya, 5 Five, VIP, and Ohemaa Mercy among others.
With these big names, the beach Jam is expected to attract a large following of music enthusiasts.
Nameless is an artiste who has proven that Kenya has its own unique musical talents that can be showcased internationally.
With a career spanning over 5 years, it is impossible to discuss Kenyan contemporary entertainment without mentioning his name.
Nameless is the epitome of new age Kenyan music with his popularity spreading throughout the country and beyond.
P-Square, the Nigerian hiphop duo, having sold over a million copies of their new album, ‘Game Over’, have set a new record in Nigerian music industry.
They have effectively become the first Nigerian artistes to have sold a million CDs in less than a week of the release of their album.
P-Square’s hit track, ‘Bizzy Body’ is receiving massive airplay all over Africa and ranked really high on the Nigerian artistes export scale.
The MTN GMA festival begins on Wednesday April 23 with the gala night at the La Palm Beach Hotel.
The night will feature artistes such as Adane Best, Nana Quame and Ohemaa Mercy.
The main awards night which comes off on Friday April 25 will witness performances from Samini, Kwaw Kese, Shasha Marley, Lenny Akadie, Becca, P-Square, Nameless, Ja Rule and a host of others. The festival will be climaxed with a beach jam on Sunday April 27.
