The board of directors of Accra Hearts of Oak has confirmed Vincent Odotei Sowah as their substantive Chief Executive Officer.
Odotei's appointment breaks the long chain of interim-appointees in the past and will have to name his management team before the start of the new season in September.
"We don't have much time for the start of next season so it's important the confirmation has come in,it gives everybody the focal point on what to do," Odotei told Ghanasoccernet.com
"It gives the time now to sharpen up things which I have put in place already and build up on what I have put on the ground for the latter part of the season."
He was named acting-CEO in May after Harry Zakour resigned from the club following a fall-out with the baord of directors.
Odotei holds a Masters degree in Marketing and was part of Steven Akwetttey's interim management committee at Hearts two seasons ago.
A cross-section of the supporters on Monday prostested against the club's decision to retain him saying he did not have the financial wherewithal to steer the club.
Odotei was part of the contestants that vyed for position as Ghana Football Association President during the 2005 election.
