THE Brong Ahafo representative of Ghana’s Most Beautiful, Erica last Sunday failed to make it through to the next stage of the show.
She was evicted after performing to the satisfaction of the viewing public.
Erica’s eviction on Sunday was the last for this year’s event.
From the beginning to the end, the studio audience and viewers were treated to captivating and pulsating performances by contestants.
The ‘night of naming ceremony’ performances saw all contestants who mounted the stage rendering good accounts of themselves.
They gave insight into and the significance of naming ceremonies in their respective regions, as well as elucidated to the audience the motives behind certain names in the regions.
Interestingly, after all their narrations and exhibitions, it became obvious that naming ceremonies in the various regions were similar, as all the contestants repeated almost the same procedure over and over again.
Erica was the first to perform on the night, followed by Ruweida, Fanny, Eyram and Adoley in that order. Unfortunately however, Erica did not make it to the next round as she suffered eviction.
As usual an eviction party would be held for her this Saturday at the Coliseum Nightclub in Accra.
Next Sunday, the four remaining contestants would warm themselves up for the grand finale slated for the National Theater in Accra on June 15.
The final event would witness performances by some of the country’s celebrated musicians.
Meanwhile BEATWAVES has gathered that the contestants have left Accra on Monday for Lagos and Calabar states, in Nigeria for holidays.
They will spend three days visiting some premier cultural centers as well as some important personalities.
Ghana’s Most Beautiful is a TV3 concept which has Onetouch as its major sponsor.
It is to project the beauty of the Ghanaian woman. It also aims at projecting Ghanaian values that are lost: Thus contestants do more research on where they are coming from to inform the public as a whole.
