AKUA, THE Eastern Region delegate of Ghana’s Most Beautiful, bowed out of the show last Sunday after she was evicted. This was the fifth eviction since this year’s show began.
Ghana’s Most Beautiful is a unique show aimed at redefining beauty and promoting national unity.
Afua, Fawzia, Rafiatu and Abena were the earlier evictees.
Akua, a student of Accra Poly, on Sunday performed the ‘shishi’ dance, and like her colleagues who did other traditional dances from their various regions, she did a wonderful job.
Eyram set the ball rolling on the night with her ‘Agbekor’ dance.
Akua followed with her act after which Adoley came to do her ‘Atufu’ dance of the Gas and Ga Adangbe people. When it was the turn of Erica, she thrilled the audience with the ‘Kete’ dance.
Fanny stepped it up with the Asafo dance, while Ruweida climaxed the night with a splendid outing.
The voting did not go in favour of Akua as she and Fanny of the Central Region were the last two the judges had to choose from for possible eviction.
Unluckily for Akua, who had earlier on said in an interview with BEATWAVES that she was not really scared of eviction, the judges chose Fanny to stay on.
“When I was coming for the programme, I said to myself that it is a reality show; without eviction, it is not a reality show.
So if I am evicted, I will take it in good faith,” said Akua.
An eviction party will be held for her this Saturday at the Coliseum Nightclub in Accra.
Sponsored by Onetouch, FC Beauty Klinic, PHC Motors Tata-Safari, Angel cream, Virgin Nigeria among others, Ghana’s Most Beautiful is presented by one of Ghana’s finest MCs, Gideon Aryequaye.
