KUMASI King Fiasal made a mince meat of visiting Tema Real Sportive whipping them 3-1, in yesterday’s mid-week encounter of the Onetouch premiership at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Both teams put up a wonderful display but unfortunately the spectatoring left much to be desired as the stadium was virtually empty with only few fans at the VIP stand.
King Faisal, basking in the 3-0 lashing of Great Olympics last Sunday, opened the scoreline in the 11th minute when Eric Kwadwo Opoku hammered home a beautiful pass from Daniel Addo.
Confident as they are, the visitors worked from the midfield with Samuel Hanson and Eric Owusu and Isaac Boakye spearheading the attack.
And it was no surprise when Boakye fired a 10-metre pile driver after a cornerkick was taken to cancel the lead three minutes later (14th minute).
The visitors appeared to have the advantage as they dictated the pace for the homesters but allowed the latter to increase the tally in the 35th minute through Ibrahim Babit to end the half.
It was Real Sportive who remained in control when the second session started, making it tough for Faisal to find their rhythm.
In what was supposed to have been the equaliser in the 45th minute, Yakubu Mohammed who only had goalkeeper Osei Boateng to beat, surprisingly ballooned the ball away.
Faisal awoke from their slumber and matched the visitors boot for boot, and in one of their daring advances, substitute Enoch Ebo Andoh made it 3-1 in the 71st minute.
