ADISPLAY of inch-perfect dance movements by '2 PUFF' Dancers from the Ashanti Region at the National Theatre in Accra at the weekend,qualified the group to represent Ghana at the PAN African Malta Guinness Street Dance Championship to be held in Lagos, Nigeria, on June19, 2008.
In a keenly contested competition, '2 PUFF' dancers emerged tops and took home the first prize of GH¢5,000 and quantities of Ghana’s most favourite Malta Guinness drinks.
High Spirit Dancers from Accra also went home smiling with GH¢3,000 for taking the second position while the third place position went to the Dance Warriors, and for their prize, they received GH¢1,500 and some quantities of Malta Guinness drinks.
Speaking at the well-attended event at the National Theatre, the Managing Director of Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited (GGBL), Seni Adetu, said judging by the high level of dancing and artistic skills displayed by the winners, '2 PUFF' were capable of becoming the African champions and eventually the world champions.
He expressed delight at the general performance of the contestants and assured the gathering that his company would do everything possible for the event to become a yearly affair.
Ama Okyere, Marketing Director of GGBL, was delighted with the energy, vibrancy and sheer display of creativity.
