First Capital Plus, a savings and loans company has commissioned its sixth branch and office complex in Kumasi, barely a year into operations.
Board Chairman, Dr. Mensah Otabil says the company has witnessed steady growth in operations and intends to increase the network in the metropolis to provide flexible, creative and time-bound banking solutions to the public.
He says the company’s strategic agenda is not to compete but to complement the efforts of existing institutions by providing uncomplicated banking solutions to all, especially the unbanked population.
“Notwithstanding the seemingly competitive environment and the growing number of formal financial institutions, it is estimated that significant amount of money in circulation still lies beyond the formal financial system. This situation presents both challenges and opportunities, which First Capital Plus is well-positioned to meet and make the most of”, stated Dr. Otabil.
First Capital Plus has a vision to become a leading provider of banking solutions in Africa within the next decade.
Chief Executive Officer, Thompson Osah Mensah says in line with its vision, the company has invested heavily in information technology and “positioned itself as a committed and customer-driven institution which provides effective, supportive and timely banking solutions to our valued customers and other stakeholders”.
This he said is achieved through the application of state-of-the-art technology, dynamic and well-motivated staff and customer excellence.
The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, in a speech read on his behalf reiterated the need for financial service providers to ease local businesses off challenges in accessing credit.
