Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club head coach Abdul Karim Zito says his team is aiming to end its winless run against Nations FC when the teams face off this weekend.

Nations FC host Kotoko at the Kwame Kyei Sports Complex at Abrankese on Saturday, October 11 at 15:00 GMT in the Kumasi Derby.

Kotoko are yet to lose three games into the 2025-2026 Ghana Premier League season and are coming off a 2-0 win over defending league champions Bibiani Gold Stars.

Speaking ahead of the big game, Karim Zito laid out the primary objective of his club which is to end the Porcupine Warriors’ winless run against its city rivals.

“We are going there with the mentality of winning of beating them. We want to break the record of Kotoko never beating them there.”
 


Kotoko rank fourth in the league while Nations rank 12th after picking up a win, a draw and two losses.
